The John Madott Fine Arts Scholarship Fund
The John Madott Fine Arts Scholarship Fund was established in John Madott's honour through the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U), and launched August 15, 2012. John Madott navigated the difficult journey of creating life-sustaining work through his professional commercial art practice — all this while pursuing his passion for fine art in the white spaces between commercial work and life.
This scholarship is intended to validate graduate students at the outset of their careers. The award is given at the end of the 4th year to graduating students enrolled in the Drawing and Painting program at OCAD U. The fund continues to award a deserving incoming OCAD U graduate student on an annual basis.
Fourth year OCAD U Drawing and Painting graduating students are encouraged to apply for this Scholarship by contacting the OCAD U Scholarship office directly.
